Today, I was tempted to break my New Year's resolution of not buying makeup. I stopped by the MAC counter and had a mini makeover. At the end, I looked only slightly different, but the salesgirl convinced me that "I really should change things up" (another words, I look like a hag) and wear Creme Brulee eyeshadow instead of French Vanilla and I needed to bring out the green in my eyes by using a metallic gold eyeshadow instead of my usual taupe. My eye pencil was not right either and Teddy Brown was better. Viva Glam lipgloss was a superior choice than my Revlon (same color) lipgloss. For $74.00 I could look slightly different (better?). Tempting, but in the end I passed and went home to find that I had some very similar products (remember my Jan 10 blog where I vowed not to buy any new cosmetics this year because I only had about a million too many?) I am so glad that I now know what I have and I can change it up by simply wearing a different beige eyeshadow. When you see me next, make sure you notice my new look... and it didn't cost a thing.
haha, good job mom. way to resist the enticement of the fun MAC products. Your eyes do look very green in the picture though!
