DESERT, HERE I COME!

I have been visiting Meagan and her family and helping out with baby Leah for a bit, and now I am off on the next leg of my journey - Palm Desert. I have a long drive ahead of me, but after being in Rexburg for some cold weather I am ready to head south.
I never tire of seeing Palm trees and the desert foliage. It is so different from our trees at home. I feel lucky if I am there during date season or when the figs are fresh. Also, I love when the trees are in blossom or when the citrus is ripe. We have lemon, orange and grapefruit trees outside our door and pick grapefruit every morning and drink gallons of fresh juice daily. It is hard to buy expensive grapefruit that doesn't taste very good when there are grapefruit hanging from the trees.
I never tire of seeing the red mountains. Large hills really, compared to the Rockies.
I get a kick out of the golf cart lanes and parking spaces reserved for them. There are hundreds of very spectacular golf courses in the desert. All pricey, but beautiful.
I love my home away from home and wish everyone could enjoy this kind of paradise. Come visit!
