I have had this blog since Dec 1, 2009. I have not written anything very profound unfortunately, but have enjoyed writing it nevertheless. I haven't had too many experiences that are blog worthy, so it has been mostly my observations, and some rather boring experiences that I have posted about.
I have written 106 posts, last month I had 198 views on my blog, I make 0$ from my blog (no surprise there), I have had people viewing from Indonesia and Malaysia and a few from Australia. I know no one from those countries. How did they find me? Most of my fans (haha) are coming from my daughters' blog, and I had a comment from someone named Lynn that I don't know, but she seemed quite happy about what I posted. I rarely get comments - only 102 to date. Where is the love people? I know that some people blog as a way of journalling and then they have their blogs printed into books. I don't think that is necessary for me and I can think of a better way to waste money - say on new shoes or a purse. One of my favourite blogs is going to hit 1,000,000 views today. I have not yet had 10,000. I am feeling somewhat resentful that someone is going to get one million hits and they are not nearly as creative, interesting or funny as I am. They are making money off theirs too! I am hopeful for 8 views a day!
I have not really mastered the hang of this blogging business. My daughter put the background design together for me and now I don't know how to undo it. I have 3 other blogs, which I don't update. One on repurposing junk, healthy eating and one promoting my condo if I should ever want to rent it. I am sure that the people viewing rental condos from blogs are not the people that I would entrust to my home. My healthy eating blog is too much work since I actually have to eat healthy and then document the whole process. I often eat too many chocolate peanut butter cups and no one needs to read that on a blog - at least when I am pretending to be healthy.
I blog because I am delusional about my life. I think that I am keeping in touch with my "fans" and that they are interested in my mundane life. I know from my own personal experience that most people write about crap that no one really cares about, but we snoop on it because we are bored, curious and filling time. Does anyone really care about where we are, have done, eaten, bought, what are families are up to and our latest obsession? Me, not so much. I really only care about what is going on in my family and some friends lives, and of course like pictures of them - especially of what my adorable grandchildren are doing. I know that you think the same. Thanks for at least stopping by my bloggernacle. I hope you enjoy reading it - or at least pretending to.
i like the blog! you get lots of readers, more than mine probably!
