UPDATE

Even though there is so much devastation in Calgary and area, some good news is that the rivers are receding, evacuation is lifting, the water is still safe to drink, the sun is shining as of right now, and my parents home is not in danger.  The water came within 50 ft of their place but left no damage.  The sewer did not back up and there is no water damage inside.  My dad's hard work renovating is still in place.   It is miraculous that they were not flooded!  We consider it a tender mercy and blessing.
