HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We saw this rainbow over the mountains in Palm Desert on our way to Iddylwild. It is a small mountain town on the way to San Diego. Thought we would drive up there for breakfast.

This is what met us in Iddylwild. SNOW! We thought that we left that in Canada. The shorts and flipflops we were wearing were not proper attire for this, and we left after the pancakes. We had fun in Cali for Christmas and want to do it again next year.
This new year I am pledging to change my ways. I cleaned out the makeup drawer and thought that 50 tubes of lipstick, that are all the same color, were too many...
twentyfive eye pencils in graphite gray were too many...
and dozens of eyeshadows that are all smokey pink and taupe were too many...so this year I am not buying any new cosmetics. I will not be tempted by seductive advertising and think that I will look like the latest celebrity spokesperson hawking a product and that my life will be anything like a supermodels if I wear Kiss Me 'til I'm Pink lipstick. And don't get me started on all my lotions and potions. I am using up everything in the drawer, and in the long run saving money that I will put towards what I really need which is surgery and laser.
